Sonic: Painful things

Sonic: A day in the life of pain.
I saw the light come quickly to my eyes and I knew it was morning and time to start a new day! I rose from my bed and then fell from the sudden blast from my alarm clock. I reached my arm up from the floor and painfully reached it. I then zipped to the kitchen to find some food to start my day. I was hoping for some cereal and poured some cornflakes into the bowl. I then poured milk. I waited. I looked down the carton and then was greeted by a splat on my face. Yep that right, milks' gone off!

"Gross!" I regarded as I wiped it off of my face. I had learnt my lesson. So looks like dry cereal again for me today.

After I ate my food, I went to the shower…. Despite my fear of water! Well, I'm Sonic the hedgehog and I do not look like a person who'd smell bad. If at anything, I try to look my best, so people love me. Did I sound too full of myself there? Oh well. I jumped into the shower and scrubbed my self clean and listened to the radio when I did so. The music always help's a dude's morning easier.
"I don't care what you're thinking as you turn to me, 'cause what I have in my two hands is enough to set me free"
I sang to the radio. It helps get rid of the fear of water.

I was soon in tip top condition and I looked in the mirror one last time to admire my self before speeding out the door and running to base.
I soon met Tails on the way and I slowed a bit so he'd catch up.
"Sup buddy" I said to him as we raced along.

"Not much really, I'm just psyched about all of the robots we get to smash today, or that new power brick that Cyrus mentioned."

I had too thought of this and it seemed like a cool thing to see too.
I replied to my brother from another mother

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it too!"

At base, it was the same as usual. We all lined up at the wall and all waited for the words go, to get a seat. They have too many of us. Some of us had to sit on other's laps. I was left standing at the back. I wasn't bothered to sit today.
Cyrus came in and did the long register, I was dying of boredom!

"Sonic, okay standing there?"

"Yeah, I'm fine"
I said as I lent against the wall.
Cyrus blabbed on a bit and I wasn't listening to be honest. I was more concerned about what I was gonna do when we had our free part of the meeting.
My ears soon pricked up to hear the words "new" and "weapon"

"Fighters, we have got our hands on a very heavy and deadly substance. It's called…"
Right then and there, I missed the name as a fly flew past as I swatted it with my hands
"It can break a bone by a single touch with out the gloves on. We don't want any one mucking around with it and it is a serious material"

"Cool!"
I perked as I was wondering what we could do to Eggman with a thing like this.

When I was in the corridor, I saw my auntie, Julie, struggling with the substance. She had it on a tray and was trying to keep it from falling over.
I kindly offered to help.
"Julie, are you okay?"

"Oh Sonic, yeah, the wheel here is wobbling and I don't want to drop this."
"Yeah, I can see that. Here, let me help"
"You haven't got the gloves on"
"Sonic, I'm not going to touch it. I'm just gonna steady the cart for ya"

We walked along for a good few minutes and then. Pop! The wheel fell off the cart and the tray thingy fell down and crushed my foot. With the block on it! It crushed my foot and I could feel it hurting really badly! There is a word I had in mind to say, but I kept it in! It really hurt! I could feel it pulsing my foot, and all of this happened in seconds!

Julie moved the substance quickly off of my foot and then pushed me carefully to my butt. I was confused.
"Are you okay?!"
She was worried. I knew this look.
I kindly replied to her.
"I'm fine. The tray hurt a bit, but no damage is done."
"Are you sure?"
"Sure" I said while getting up. I grabbed the wheel off of the floor.
"I'll get a helping hand."

I soon got some help and then decided to go on a run to relieve my pain with adrenalin. I loved to run! It's great to feel the wind in my quills and dirt below my feet. I zoomed off to the field which was the "country lane" As we call it. This is where our secret road is. This is why our base is secret
I went quite a long way. I was running and then… BOOM! Pain shoots through the whole of my body and I feel my ankle cripple and snap!
I fell to the floor while at 700 mph! I tumbled along for quite a distance and I screamed in pain. Sure I can hold pain, but this hurt!
I was in the middle of nowhere! How would any one help me? I got up to mu knees, but my leg collapsed. Crawling was out. I pulled my self along the ground and then cried out loudly.
"AHHHH!"
I was there for what seemed hours. I was still screaming! I soon heard my friends calling my name. I couldn't answer them at all. I was on my stomach and couldn't get up. I could feel them coming closer and my scream drew them in.
"Bro, what have you been doing?!" My brother asked

"Crashed at 700 MPH! Get me up! I can't move!"
Shadow helped me up and I was on my knees. One leg was feeling able to stand, the other, wasn't.
I fell straight down and screamed. The others were now obviously alarmed.
"Sonic, what is the matter with you!?" Amy asked me as I rolled to my side clasping my foot,
"I can't stand!"
Trixie then noticed something from the inside of my sock. She bent down to it and pulled my shoe off.
"Ow! What are you doing?!"
"I can see something!" She screamed at me. She ripped my sock off and she had a hesitant look on her face.
"What can you see that I can't?!"
"It's purple! And the bone has snapped!"

I swallowed my throat. I was in agony and now a great fear of depression!
"Snapped?"
"YEAH! Oh god! Get him up so his foot can't touch the floor"

The next half an hour was full of limping and pain. They dragged me to the meeting room as it was closer than the A&E. They sat me on the chair and tried asking me some questions.
"How did this happen?"
Asked Tails
"I was running and it hurt and I tumbled and I heard snap!"
Julie then looked guilty.
"Do you think this is because of that stuff?"
It hit me
"What do I do?!"
Knuckles then asked me
"What happened?"
"I saw Julie struggling with that stuff that Cyrus said you needed to be careful with and I saw the wheel was wobbling, so I helped Julie keep the tray steady and the wheel soon fell off and the cart fell on my foot and the substance rolled over my foot"
They all gritted their teeth.
I was in for a world of hurt.
